In todays fast-paced Health Information Management (HIM) environment, having the ability to manage administrative, clinical and financial data is essential. While most HIM professionals use Microsoft Excel for creating useful lists, charts, and graphs, this powerful software can also be used for more sophisticated data analysis and report writing.
In the first of this three-part webinar series offered by the CUNY School of Professional Studies, participants will focus on improving data quality through:
Implementing simple data validation techniques to improve data accuracy
Using lookup tables to reduce input errors and improve spreadsheet efficiency
Using formulas effectively to accurately trend and monitor clinical information
No extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary. Participants who are familiar with the basic layout of a spreadsheet will find these seminars particularly useful.
All registered participants can download the exercises and templates that will be reviewed in these webinars, and they can submit questions which will be addressed both during and after the webinar.
This session provides 1 CEU in the Technology domain.
