OOHLALA worked with the Department of Student Life at South Seattle College to foster a stronger sense of community on campus, particularly among commuter students.
STUDENT LIFE
In an effort to get students and particularly commuter students more connected to campus, South Seattle looked into technologies to make it easier for students to reconnect when it was convenient for them.
Campus maps make orientation and on-boarding new student much easier and less stressful. The app guides students to class, to the best places to eat and back home again.
The campus wall brings the campus community together and creates a place where students get timely answers to their questions. This also saves South Seattle College hundreds of staff hours each semester.
A successful campus app is a combination of the proper technology and implementation. The OOHLALA team is there to support South Seattle throughout their implementation by suggesting a tailored plan for reaching their adoption goals.
The app allows administrators to send out relevant information to students with less overhead and labour than conventional methods such as posters and emails.
